I am surprised that I didn’t hear about this before, because I’m pretty hip with the scene when it comes to both the Westboro Baptist Church (I have some disturbing fascination, I don’t know, I can’t explain it), and the Church of the Flying Spagetti Monster. I’m not going to explain, just go here and see for yourself. Just stop reading right now. That story contains more Win than anything I will ever write on here. It kinda makes me wish that I went to school in a more ideologically diverse area, so be could be a part of something like that. The protests here are kinda pointless because everybody just agrees with whatever your message is. (“Legalize it!” Yes, we know, everybody wants to legalize it, who exactly are you trying to reach here?)
Until I saw this miraculous event, I hadn’t converted to Pastafarianism. Now, I don’t know how much longer I can ignore the beckoning of His Noodly Appendage. If people arrive Monday morning to find the school papered with FSM propaganda, it wasn’t me. Just know that. You guys are my alibi.
Now people, I’m noticing a serious problem here. My views on this blog are disproportionate to the amount of comments I’m getting. If you’re reading this, you should write something down below. If you’re at a loss for what to say, I’m almost positive that I’ve made multiple punctuation errors in this post. Why don’t you straighten me out?
Unless its just you, Mom, visiting my page multiple times a day. Which is probably the case.

We can’t be your alibi…how do WE know what you’ve been papering!
Now, the guy in the video, you know the one that looks like an egg with a beanie…and I’m pretty sure some teeth were missing, too…(you watched the ABC video, right?). Now see, this is a perfect instance where I get all vague and gray about how much I honor free speech versus just shutting people up in anyway possible. The stupidity is so multi layered it drives me CRAZY and makes me want to…..well, ‘stab someone in the face’ to quote our blog writer from an earlier post. Mostly, I don’t get the point, if you’re methods are turning off the very people you are trying to get a message to; why bother? (at least, I THINK Westboro is trying to save people…then again, exactly, what ARE they trying to do?) if the numbers opposing you are growing and YOUR crowd is getting smaller, wouldn’t it just follow that either your message is garbage or that your approach sucks (or, in this case, both?).
I only visit once a day…it’s the first thing I do right after work. Well, then I show dad, when he gets home and then your sister and brother usually log in…so that is only four. More comment back would be nice???! 🙂

I haven’t seen the video, just that article I linked to. I think what they’ve said is something along the lines of: It’s not our job to sugar-coat the truth. We just want to let you know so that on judgement day you can’t tell God that you didn’t know the truth. Or something like that.
They don’t really care about saving people so much. In fact, on they’re website, it says that they’re not really accepting new members of their church, mostly because they’re getting so many trolls.

I believe! I want to be a Pastafarian! Where do we sign up? But first, do I have to know who/what “Jenga” is before I can hate he/she/it? Go Gay Robots!

Jenga is that stupid game where you have the tower made out of wooden blocks, and you try to remove the blocks without the tower falling down. I’m also with God on that one. That game sucks. If you really want to know about Pastafarianism, they actually have a pretty good website. http://www.venganza.org

Not really. Bit Early, perhaps. My day often starts at about 3:00. Usually ends in exhaustion at around 9:00, though.

Hey, I’m logging in too! I never miss post, either. Just so you know. & ok, ok, more comments coming your way .
WBC–sad organization. Must be nice, though, to be absolutely sure what God wants/hates/dictates. That Jesus guy–he must have been wrong about his messages of love and tolerance? Nice of ’em, too, to warn the rest of us.
as your uncle, who keeps *really* odd sleep hours, says, too many Christians “spend waaay too much time on the Old Testament.”
I’d also like to second both my sisters, as usual (that’ll be five bucks each, Sissys!).

Yeah, I think it would be kind of nice to be so sure that you’re doing absolutely the right thing, and to know for a fact that you will be rewarded for it later.
Jesus gave out a lot of different messages. These guys just chose to cherry-pick different verses and interpret them differently than most modern Christians.
